ICE OUT of MICHIGAN Protest Romulus, Michigan 2.23.2026
The Romulus City Council unanimously approved a resolution that opposes the operation of ICE detention facility in the city. The council cited moral and several financial and legal complications, including zoning ordinances and decreased property values.
This vote comes after Homeland Security’s bought a nearly 300,000 square feet building in residential area near Detroit Metro Airport to house detainees and expediate deportations.
